Hi Team,

I am looking for some help on integration between OSvC and OFSC. I am using latest release of OFSC for our demo purpose. According to the latest documentation ICS (Integration Cloud Service) has been recommended for performing integration from OFSC to any other cloud applications. But I am little confused on following scenarios and I really need some one to light my way.

  1. How we can perform integration from OSvC -> OFSC. Through ICS? if so is there any documentations available
  2. I have installed TOA adapters in our service cloud instance those are downloaded from this https://github.com/oracle/Accelerators/tree/master/ git hub location. Will it work with latest release? or is there any new adapters available for the new release

I am trying to communicate  them with events (triggerNamedEvent and addNamedEventListener) but it is not possible.
There is some way to communicate addins located in different workspaces ?

Retrieving a previous version of the SOAP WSDL (2 Comments)

I've run into a strange new wrinkle (discussed here) with the SOAP 1.4 WSDL, which is the default for August '17. I'm going to try the most recent suggestion to send a blank token value, but I also want to try using version 1.3. The documentation says this can be done with the URL https://<host_name>/services/soap/connect/soap?wsdl=typed_v, but this doesn't seem to be working for me.

I've tried

  • https://<host_name>/services/soap/connect/soap?wsdl=typed_1.3
  • https://<host_name>/services/soap/connect/soap?wsdl=typed_1.3.17.8
  • https://<host_name>/services/soap/connect/soap?wsdl=typed_3
  • https://<host_name>/services/soap/connect/soap?wsdl=1.3
  • https://<host_name>/services/soap/connect/soap?wsdl=1.3.17.8

but none of these have worked. Each time I get the message "Unable to retrieve wsdl/xsd for this service."

Can anyone tell me the correct URL to access the SOAP 1.3 WSDL on an August '17 site?

 

Retreiving standard message bases through REST API

When using the REST API, for example:

 

/services/rest/connect/v1.3/queryResults/?query=select lookupName,value from messageBases where lookupName in ('CUSTOM_MSG_SITE_NIKE_SEARCH_RESULTS')

 

I can retrieve values for custom message bases. But when I Try to use something like the following:

/services/rest/connect/v1.3/queryResults/?query=select lookupName,value from messageBases where lookupName in ('NO_RESULTS_FOUND_MSG')

 

to retrieve the localized "No search results found" message base, I don't receive it.

I'm working on an upgrade site endeavoring to get all the add-ins working.   Started with one of the more basic ones, copying an incident linking it to the same contact with several parameters selected by the user.

My problem is a new incident is created, but not populated with the contact.   I've added multiple message boxes that SHOULD be popping, but are not.  It's as though the new deploy is not 'taking'.   Are there Post Build events I should be using? I removed the ones that were there because the project would not build.    Another thought is that message boxes are suppressed in May 2017 (updating from May 2015).

Any help/suggestions are welcome.

We recently added a new channel and are now taking incidents from our mobile app using Public API > Connect Web Services – SOAP and assigned the existing channel called “MA Web”.  Our regular incidents from Custom Portal come through the channel called “CSS Web”.

Too make it easier for agents to recognize whether the customer wrote in from our full site or mobile, we want to display names in the Incident workspace and the Queue report that are easier to understand. 

To do this, our admin added fields to the Incident workspace and the Queue report to show the channel of origin for each incident.  Per answer ID 6370 and an Oracle employee’s response to a 2011 community forum post, it’s possible to edit the name of channel.  Our admin was unable to edit the actual channel name, so he added children to the Channels gave those custom names.  Both the parent and child are showing the same ID #.

Parent – stock name

Child – custom name

CSS Web

Online

MA Web

Mobile

 

We’re facing two problems in testing:

1) The child is displaying to Employee A in the Incident workspace while the parent is displaying to Employee B even though they both have the same profile and therefore same workspaces.

Employee A sees the child with custom names (Online & Mobile) = Good

Employee B sees the parent with stock names (CSS Web & MA Web) = Bad

Why is Employee B seeing the parent even though he has the same profile and workspaces as Employee A?

Oddly, we do not face this problem in the Incident report where both employees see the child with custom names.

2) The second problem is also in the Incident workspace where both employees see “No Channel” for the Customer input when the channel is actually MA Web/Mobile.

This is not a problem when the Channel is CSS Web/Online.

Why is the proper channel not displayed for the Customer input when the channel is MA Web/Mobile?

Failed to find object Contact in site meta data (4 Comments)

Hi,

We're trialing CXDev Toolbox for a month for the Object Cleaner. We have a LOT of old Contacts that need to be deleted for various reasons, and will need to be on a regular basis (contacts with 0 incidents mainly, inc. contacts that have been merged leaving 0 incidents)

It uses a ROQL query, and returns results which can then be purged

I used this ROQL query

SELECT ID FROM Contact WHERE Contact.customFields.c.accountnumber = 'delete_me' 

which DID return results (see screenshot) but when I go to purge the results from the table, it says

"Failed to purge results: Failed to find object Contact in site meta data. If objects have been recently added simply sign-out and back in."

If it's able to find the results, then what is the issue? can anybody help? I'm a novice, just looking for an easy way to put this in place to hold us over in the short to medium term whilst business decisions are made, so I'm not an expert by any means, but if anybody can point me in the right direction I'd be eternally grateful...

When an object is updated by a script, are the Rule Bases supposed to run?

For example, we have a script that creates and updates our contact records from a master contact database. I noticed that any new Contacts the script creates, the Contact Rule State is "no value" and never hits any of our Contact Rules. We can't update the script at this time to incorporate the logic of our Contact Rules. Is there another way to get these contacts into a Contact Rule State?

Hi, I'm having a trouble with an integration with a chat bot, i'll explain shortly whats the trouble:

Through a chat bot i filter some topics (create an incident with a thread) and if the topic its too complex then i tranfer the chat to a chat queue, when this happen i send values to fill chat values like name, surname, email, question, chat.contact_id, and the chat.i_id, but it doesn't take incident_id value associated, it creates another incident, with this i have 2 incidents generated for one interaction.

How can i disable incident being generated when chats begin, or how to relate already incident to a chat session.

My team is developing an application where we have to create some records on few events. At present everything is fine, but my problem is I have to build JSON data to develop request.

For some objects it is small for some more it is quite large because of custom fields and custom objects.

For now, I am using StringBuilder class to build request dynamically. Is there a way where we can smartly build them? Like using an internal/external library?

I am using REST API for Oracle Service Cloud to create and update contacts/service requests. I am able to create contacts as well as service requests but unable to update them using PATCH method. I am referring to the below documentation and using SOAP UI / Postman but somehow its not working.

Retrieve NamedID ids/values from incidents/customFields/c using REST API only

I am using the Connect REST API only. I am a beginner in the Oracle world, but otherwise a highly experienced REST API consumer.

The customFields/c table for my customer has a bunch of objects that look like NamedIDs. However, I can't seem to retrieve their id/value pairs using any syntax I can discover. There is an article here about how to do it via PHP, which does me no good.

https://{{site}}/services/rest/connect/latest/metadata-catalog/incidents/customFields/c/business_unit

works just fine.

The documented API to retrieve NamedID values works for this:

https://{{site}}/services/rest/connect/latest/namedIDs/incidents/severity

but not this:

https://{{site}}/services/rest/connect/latest/namedIDs/incidents/customFields/c/business_unit

returns "Unrecognized resource element: customFields",

Using a newly created incident from an add-in (copied from an existing incident including custom fields selected by the agent) [discussion on creation:  http://communities.rightnow.com/posts/f0a6c2835e) the agent is concerned that changed fields prior to save revert to the initial value upon save.

Version May 2015 does not have this occur - the version being implemented is May 2017.

Securing REST APIs with Connect PHP

Hello dears,

We are currently creating REST APIs  with the Connect PHP model. We rely on these heavily to read/create objects and query important information.

However, since these pages are published, anyone with the url is able to access the information they return.

My question is: is there a way to secure these pages? Is there a best practices document/thread/guideline recommended by Oracle when it comes to securing custom REST APIs?

Currently the security method we are adopting is posting username/password credentials from a back-end server to our API page and performing a validation check before querying the info.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all,

I am trying to import a csv file into a custom menu field in Oracle Service Cloud. However, I didn't get sucessful in this operation. I've read some similar topics, but I didn't can do this.

Below are my tentatives:

1.  $at2->CustomFields->ov_canal = new RNCPHP\NamedIDLabel();
  $at2->CustomFields->ov_canal->LookupName = $canalDeEntrada;

2. $at2->CustomFields->c->ov_canal = new RNCPHP\NamedIDLabel();
  $at2->CustomFields->c->ov_canal->LookupName = 'Casos Coletivos';

3. $at2->CustomFields->ov_canal = new RNCPHP\NamedIDLabel();
 $at2->CustomFields->ov_canal->ID = 18149; 

My CSV file contains a field called "Canal de Entrada", which is populated in variable $canalDeEntrada. In the example above, I tried to use the variable value, hard coded (Casos Coletivos) and the ID of this value (18149);

The field "ov_canal" is inside Incident package: "$at2 = new RNCPHP\Incidentes\Atendimento2;".

Could anyone help me with this problem?
