Possible to Launch Console and Pass data/keystrokes in to a Workspace ?

I have a requirement, from a 3rd party app (desktop softphone) which will be running alongside RN's Console (assume logged in and running). We don't have the source for the softphone, so cannot run it within the MediaBar as a Multi-Channel Toolkit-type add-in.

I was wondering whether some 'take call' button on said softphone could do any of these:

1. launch the RN console from a command-line argument, as if from a cmd.exe or powershell.exe or "start /wait" command and pass in parameters to launch a Contact Workspace looking at xyz@domainname.com

2. use some form of old fashioned Net DDE to pass data from the softphone into the Console

3. Launch a 3rd party tool to present keystrokes in to the console to force the search and launch of a Contact Workspace

4. some form of Inter Process Communication in to the Win32 COM classes within the Console.

5. create some 'event listener' add-in WITHIN the console. e..g. in the media bar or status bar areas, with that having permission to 'listen' to events from an external source. That add-in is then able to launch a Contact Workspace accordingly.

6. Embed an IE control somewhere omnipresent (i.e. not just the obvious, within an already-open Contact Workspace) , to host the softphone binary (or .ocx variant) and use the RightNow Connect for JavaScript API to write into Common and Custom Objects. But not possible if not in a Contact or Incident workspace ?

Any other thoughts ?

Iain.
