Save a child editor/Task before clicking on Save in ribbon

Hi 

I am opening a new activity "followup" from incident workspace.

I filled the required fields in task and clicked the green tick button instead of save on ribbon.

I got the new task populated in report in incident but its not yet saved in the report backend.

 Is there a way i get this saved either from Add-in or workspace rule before i click on save on the ribbon.
