Inline Edit of Report doesn't trigger CPM through Business Rule

Hi All,

I have built a contact merge CPM script and written a business rule like 'Contact.merged_to modified this edit' to trigger the CPM on contact update.

The business rule is hit and the CPM is triggered when the 'merged_to' customfield is edited from the source contact wokspace.

But when we inline edit the 'merged_to' customfield from a custom report and save the report, the CPM is not triggered. When checked in the 'Rule Log' there are no entries listed for the saved contact done through custom report.

Kindly provide your suggestion on it.
