I've been using the Search feature within "Connect Data Integration" for a few years and am now trying to move to the SOAP services.  The only operation I do is performing a very simple search for a contact ID using the contacts phone number (any_phone).  From various documentation, the closest I can figure out is that I should be using the RunAnalyticsReport method using the following code:

I get an exception when running this code that says "REPORT_ERROR_EXCEEDS_MAX_JOIN_SIZE"

What should I be doing to retrieve a contact ID using the phone number?
