Hello,
We have been using third party software based VOIP IP PBX phone system and we have created an extension bar for its client side interaction and integration with RightNow. Our requirements with this system especially data interaction, made it mandatory for us to develop our phone server for the 3rd party product and its interaction with Softphone applications through RightNow made it rather cumbersome.
Now we are developing our own softphone implementation integrated directly in the Extension Bar from scratch, this time though we want to eliminate another problem we had with the actual native Live Media Bar inherent to RightNow.
For agents that have chat service defined in their profile, Live media bar gets enabled by default, but we want to remove the Media Bar and have all the controls in our Extension Bar. (Similar to RightNow CTI Media Bar, we can not use RightNow CTI for technical issues currently unresolved)
Is this feature feasible and if yes, are there any settings for it in RightNow Client or do we have to implement anything in our ExtensionBar AddIN to disable the Live Media Bar?
